Step 1 : Make sure your system is set to receive and install Windows Updates automatically 

Set windows to receive Automatic Updates

Step 2 : Delete everything in the directory  - C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download

Delete all the contents in the above mentioned directory/path in step 2

Step 3 : Open Command Prompt and choose Run as an Administrator 

Open Command Prompt by typing CMD on start screen

Step 4: Run this command: wuauclt.exe /updatenow

Type command:wuauclt.exe/updatenow and hit enter
